Mindfulness for Carers
Caring for loved ones with special needs is a noble and a challenging role.
The Mindful Life helps Carers to cope with stress and difficult emotions using mindfulness-based approaches, running taster sessions, introductory mindfulness programmes and ongoing weekly meditations.
We design our approach in response to the limitations facing so many Carers; personal time, access to respite care, finances, and so on. We offer all our approaches free of charge.
We look together for strategies to address difficult and unnourishing feelings, to step away from being 'invisible', 'overwhelmed', 'exhausted', and to notice the types of triggers that cause us to react.
We look for ways to bring our own wellness to the centre and to make it our strength. We do this through practical everyday mindfulness techniques, resources to turn to when it feels like there's no more time to give.

Since 2009 The Mindful Life has been developing seminars and retreats to introduce people to
mindfulness practice, initially as a social enterprise
and more recently with registered charity status.
Experienced coaches and facilitators from various fields,
we volunteer our time and draw from our experience and from our own personal commitment to mindfulness
to help people to develop an internal resilience,
to make space for self care and create meaning and purpose out of difficult situations.

The Mindful Life aims to provide Mindfulness support to those who act as Carers for loved ones. We send no more than four e-newsletters during the year through MailChimp, and contact participants directly about retreat bookings. We will never otherwise share your information outside of our organisation, or use it outside of these purposes. You are free to withdraw from our mailing list at any time by email, or to request access to our full data protection policy or make a claim in keeping with the procedures detailed therein.
